NEED HELP WITH MEDICAL BILLS. MEMBERS OF DSSC MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT!
In 1976 our founder Connie Wenaus had a dream and the Dartmouth Seniors' Service Centre was founded. Since then DSSC has been providing activities and services which may not otherwise readily available in our community. Through the support of our members, donors and various government departments and service groups the Dartmouth Seniors' Service Centre has continued to grow and thrive. DSSC offers various social, physical, and educational programs with the aim of bettering and enriching the lives of seniors in our community. From monthly dances to craft classes you will find that there is something for everyone at DSSC. Our mission is to support seniors and their families through programs and services.
The Dartmouth Seniors' Service Centre also offers daily meals both in our dining room as well as to our Meals on Wheels clients (Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday). Cook Matt Jordan and his staff proudly prepare our meals with the nutritional needs of seniors in mind and meal cards may be purchased at a very reasonable price.
One common misconception is that the Dartmouth Seniors' Service Centre is strictly for the enjoyment of the residents of the Nantucket Place which they share a building with. Although DSSC does have many members from "upstairs" they are open to anyone 50 and over in the Dartmouth Community....and their families. So please come join us. We would love to meet you!
